AJA Registrars Inc. (certifying body) issued attestation to the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Region XII for International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The attestation is a recommendation to the review body for the office to be issued ISO certification.
AJA completed the audit for ISO 9001:2015 quality management system for stages 1 and 2 on November 26 and December 10, 2016, respectively. It assessed the processes and services of the office covering Geosciences, Mine Management, Mine Safety Environment and Social Development, and Finance and Administrative Divisions. The audit team looked into the evidences, document information in the form of procedures or records and observance of the office practices on the implementation of the management system and conformance to the established requirements and procedures. Ever since, the goal of MGB XII Regional Director Constancio A. Paye, Jr. is to serve the public with excellence strongly focusing on the satisfaction of customers and an efficient and effective operational performance thru continuous improvement of processes.
From March this year, the office undertook orientation and capability seminars to learn, process and analyze risk and opportunities including planning of the process, carrying it out, monitor or measure the process/performance and incorporate improvements as necessary.
The attestation issued on December 13, 2016 by AJA will be replaced by the official certificate. By then, MGB XII would be the first regional office of MGB to become an ISO 9001:2015 certified and 2nd to MGB Central Office’s ISO.
